CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Just days before the primary election, some Jackson County farmers and ranchers held a demonstration against Measure 15 -119, the ordinance to ban growing of “Genetically-Engineered” plants.
Those ranchers opposing the ban drove tractors, hay trucks, cattle rigs and pickup trucks by the Central Point Library to drop off their ballots. The demonstration happened just two weeks after the opposing group, organized more than a dozen tractors in a parade through Downtown Medford.
Election Day is Tuesday, May 20th. Ballots must be turned in by 8 P.M.
