MEDFORD, Ore. — More than 500 people showed up to a Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center event Sunday to celebrate babies beating health issues in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). A local mother, Brittany Severson, was at the event.
“We were all battle here and the staff helped me a lot,” Severson said. “We’re four and a half hours from home so unfortunately family couldn’t stay all the time everybody had to stay and go home, so him and I were here and the staff acted a lot as our family as well as everything else.”
This event served as an opportunity for families to thank the nurses for helping bring their babies home. Almost 350 NICU babies go home every year.
