Fair Offers Free Screenings

Kids StuffGRANTS PASS, Ore. — Local volunteers offered more than 800 children free eye exams and dental screenings in Grants Pass over the weekend.

Those services were part of the 11th Annual Kids Care Fair. More than 90 local volunteers helped make the event possible. The children at the event could also receive free school supplies.

“The list grows longer with the schools dealing with cut backs they rely more on the students to bring things with them. With that being the case, we have to do whatever we can to help,” said Kids Care Fair’s St. John Eyre.

Foster Kids Inc. teamed up with the Parkway Christian Center to give away special backpacks full of supplies to local foster children.
