Man Facing Charges for Drug Trafficking

Stephen Johnson FinalPHOENIX, Ore.– Several ounces of drugs are off the streets of Phoenix, following a two-month investigation for narcotics trafficking. The Medford Drug and Gang Enforcement team served a search warrant at a home on South Pacific Highway, Thursday.

Stephen Johnson was arrested without incident, but had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance because of his poor health. Police said he will be cited at a later time.

Medford officials said they found four ounces of Methamphetamine, 7 ounces of Heroin, scales and packaging inside. They said they also found more than $12,000 and believe it was obtained through drug transactions.

The case is now being investigated by the Jackson County District Attorney’s office.
