PRINEVILLE, Ore. – Facebook is considering opening its third data center in central Oregon. The social network giant has a 334,000 square foot building in Prineville and another being built right next door.
The company says the third facility would be smaller about 62,000 square feet, but it would not create new full-time jobs. The company does not plan to create any new jobs instead shift employees from the larger center to this new one.
Facebook has yet to set a construction timetable.
