F-15 Jets To Conduct Night Flying

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Klamath Falls community can expect to hear jets flying overhead in the evening, from January 7th through the 11th, as the 173rd Fighter Wing conducts night flying operations.

Night flying is one part of the course curriculum for F-15 student pilots at Kingsley Field. The night flying is scheduled between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Most of the training will occur in the military operating airspace to the east of Lakeview, where the pilots can fly without any lights.

Take-offs will occur after sundown and the jets will land approximately one and half hours later.

The only big item on my bucket list is to ride in an F-15. I’m a 59-year old, healthy, retired science teacher and have fantasized about riding in this incredible plane for many years.
