(CNN) — Police in California are engaged in a stand off with the ex-cop wanted in a series of deadly crimes.
ABC News has a live stream of aerial video of Big Bear, California where law enforcement sources say they have Christopher Dorner, “pinned down.” ABC7 reports a man matching Dorner’s description is reportedly in a cabin off Highway 38 and the cabin is surrounded. There are now smoke and flames visible from the cabin.
The incident has involved a shootout. The Mayor of Big Bear Lake Jay Obernolte tells CNN that two deputies have reportedly been wounded in a gunfight. One of those deputies has since died.
Dorner is accused of going on a violent spree, killing three people including a police officer, the daughter of his police union representative and her fiancé. He also may have been involved in a robbery Tuesday. The search for the 270-pound, 6-foot Dorner has focused on the Big Bear Lake area, where authorities say his burning truck was discovered last week.
