NEAR ASHLAND, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is ordering that all evacuation orders for the Oregon Gulch Fire have been removed. This includes areas affected by the fire in both Jackson and Klamath counties. All California evacuation orders were removed last week.
Fire crews are continuing to extinguish hot spots throughout the burn area. The Oregon Gulch Fire is now 74 percent contained.
Afternoon dry lightning is expected Monday. People living in Jackson and Klamath counties are reminded to stay alert and be aware of the possibilities of wild land fire during this time of year. The Sheriff’s office stresses that everyone should have an evacuation plan for their family, including pets and livestock.
