Evacuation Lifted For Seiad Valley

SEIAD VALLEY, Calif. — Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday morning that the mandatory evacuation notice for residents of Seiad, California has been lifted.

The mandatory evacuation was issued to residents that live on Seiad Creek Road, Seiad Oaks Road and some portions of the west side of Highway 96 due to the threat of the Goff Fire.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office said residents are now able to return to their homes and some roads have been reopened, including from the intersection of Highway 96 to Seiad Creek Road, and to the intersection of Seiad Creek Road and Seiad Oaks Road.
