Endeavour Lands In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The space shuttle Endeavour ended its last leg of its farewell tour on Friday. The shuttle left Edwards Air Force Base atop a modified jumbo jet earlier in the day.

After flying over Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles, Endeavour ended its three-day, three-leg, transcontinental journey at Los Angeles International Airport. NASA encouraged people to share their sightings of the airborne spectacle on social media as it flew over California.

Its final destination is the California Science Center in Los Angeles. The shuttle will be moved via roads on October 12th and 13th to its final spot at the science museum.
