ASHLAND, Ore. – Campers at Emigrant Lake say it’s a packed Fourth of July weekend as usual. And it seems to be getting more popular every year.
“As far as the camping it’s way more packed,” said camper Jeff Elmore. “It used to be more private and everything. Now’s it’s grown a lot, there’s a lot of people participating in the holidays.”
RV camping lots and tent sites were completely sold out for the weekend.
Some lines and traffic awaited day-trippers at the boat ramps as well.
As always, campers staying through tomorrow are advised to mind the rules and be careful when lighting campfires at the designated fire pits.
