Earthquake Shakes CoastNEAR BROOKINGS, Ore. — The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 5.5 magnitude earthquake shook the coast near Brookings around 7 p.m. Saturday.

A local business owner says he definitely felt the quake.

“My dogs were going crazy and it kind of felt like I was drifting to the side. It was just odd. I definitely felt it. I definitely knew it was an outside force. We were a little bit traumatized,” Superfly Distilling Company Owner Ryan Webster said.

Curry County Sheriff’s officials say there were no reports of any damage.
