EAGLE POINT, Ore. — 62 different entries participated in Eagle Point’s annual 4th of July parade, ranging from fire crews, to police, local organizations and sport teams.
Fire District 3 said they were not handing out water this year, but parade officials had a van full of water bottles for anyone who wanted some. Candy was not allowed to be thrown due to insurance liabilities.
To many in the parade crowd, the Fourth of July means freedom and independence. Parade officials say events like this help to bring the community together.
