MEDFORD, Ore.– As teachers open up their classrooms for the new school year, some students will be getting ready to launch a new season of Sparrow Clubs.
Every year students donate their time in exchange for donations to sparrow families. These families have children with serious and often life-threatening illnesses.
In addition to students’ efforts, fundraisers are held throughout the valley to help those families. Last year, the non-profit received a record amount – nearly 40-thousand dollars from it’s biggest fundraiser of the year .
This year, they are hoping to do the same with the help of 10 well-known community members – just revealed, Monday -to participate in “Dancing with the Rogue Valley Stars”.
