DUII Saturation Patrols Get Results

LiquorJACKSON COUNTY, Ore. — Increased DUII Saturation patrols started on Saturday, Dec. 28 and will continue through the New Year to help protect motorists during the holiday festivities that take place. On Saturday, The Medford Police Department along with the Talent Police Department, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Central Point Police Department, the Eagle Point Police Department, and the Butte Falls Police Department all came together to conduct saturation patrols for the entire Jackson County area on Saturday and the results are in:

Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants: 4 arrests
Drug Charges: 2 arrests
Felony Crimes: 1 arrest
Fugitives Apprehended: 3 arrests
Driving While Suspended: 5 arrested/cited
Uninsured Motorists: 7 cited
Safety Belt Violations: 1 cited
Speeding: 4 cited
Other Traffic Violations: 18 cited

The Medford Police Department will continue their DUII Saturation Patrols through the New Year, and they are advising people to get a designated driver and drive safely if they plan on going out on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day.
