EUGENE, Ore. – Kenjon Barner rushed for more than 200 yards and De’Anthony Thomas topped the century mark on seven carries as Oregon beat Fresno St. 42-25 on Saturday. As a team, the Ducks ran for 366 yards, with their dynamic duo racking up most of that total. Barner was the workhorse, gaining 201 yards on 34 carries to go along with three touchdowns. Thomas again provided the most bang for the buck, running for 102 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries.
After falling behind 3-0 early in the first, Oregon responded with five straight touchdowns. Much like last week, the Ducks built up a huge first half lead and then let their foot off the pedal in the second.
Marcus Mariota continued to show off his accuracy, going 19-27 for 166 yards and a score in the victory. One of this top targets, Josh Huff, left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury and did not return.
With the win, Oregon improves to 2-0 with a game against Tennessee Tech next week.
