GLENDALE, Ariz. — The last time the Ducks played in Glendale, it was in the National Championship game two years ago, a 22-19 loss to Auburn. The University of Phoenix Stadium was a place of bad memories for many Ducks. Thursday night, they got to erase those memories.

The Ducks dominated Kansas State 35-17 in the Fiesta Bowl. Redshirt freshman quarterback Marcus Mariota was named Offensive MVP for the Ducks, throwing for 167 yards and two touchdowns and rushing in another.

The Ducks led for all but 12 seconds of this game. That’s how long it took De’Anthony Thomas to take the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown to give the Ducks the advantage and they never looked back.
