MEDFORD, Ore. — People who have gone through treatment to clean up their lives are giving back to clean up a local park.
15 volunteers from the Jackson County Drug Court were at Alba Park and City Hall on Tuesday afternoon, picking up trash. The group teamed with Medford Parks and Recreation for the cleanup effort.
Organizers say the group did not have a court service today, so they decided to spend their time helping the community.
“Our recovery opportunity is here today to give back to their community that they once took from,” explained Treatment Court Coordinator Lisa McCreadie.
