Drug Arrest by Oregon State Trooper

NEAR WILSONVILLE, Ore. — An Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop south of Wilsonville early Wednesday morning led to the arrest of a Washington man after the trooper found over 14 pounds of marijuana inside his vehicle. The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.

Shortly after midnight Wednesday morning a state trooper pulled over driver Saint Tito Michael Shortland, age 36, of Parkland, Washington.

Shortland was reportedly stopped for traffic violations northbound along Interstate 5 at the Baldock Rest Area, but with the assistance of a Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office drug detection canine, the investigation led to the discovery of drug possession as well.

Approximately 14 pounds of marijuana was concealed in the suspect’s car, worth an estimated value of $30,000. Shortland was then taken into custody for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana, and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.
