Drivers Prepare Weather Changes

MEDFORD, Ore. – It is finally feeling like fall and that means it’s time to prepare for slick roads.

Ed’s Tire Factory says it is seeing more customers come in to update their cars for the wet weather. Managers say normally, the rule of thumb is the tread on your tire must reach Lincoln’s head on a penny, but during the winter, they suggest double that. Customers are also coming in to get windshield wipers.

“Windshield wipers are a very important type of item this time of year, people haven’t been using them so they get deteriorated very badly and they do need to be replaced,” Manager Bob Horton.

Ed’s Tire Factory says many people are already preparing for the holidays, buying winter tires for thanksgiving travel.
