CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — Dozens of cars drifted at the Jackson County Expo Saturday as part of the 28th Annual Medford Cruise events. Officials say drivers came in from all over to participate this year, some from Las Vegas, Seattle and Los Angeles.
Corey Harris with the Medford Cruise says attendance was double what it was last year. “This is by far our largest event we’ve ever had as far as, for our drift event for Medford Cruise. You know, we grow every year, but this year by far the most pro drivers we’ve had an definitely the furthest way drivers we’ve ever had coming to us.”
Officials say the Medford Cruise benefits youth programs throughout Southern Oregon, raising more than $300,000 in 27 years. The rest of the week’s events include car shows displaying everything from old classics, to brand new sports cars.
