MEDFORD, Ore. — At least 60 drivers drifted for a good cause on Saturday. The event kicked off a week of events for the 2014 Medford Cruise. Organizers say the event at the Jackson County Sports Park is the largest drifting event in the Northwest. This year attendance is reportedly up, meaning more money will be raised to help local children in need.
“The Medford Cruise to me is an absolute win win. Not only do we get to come out here enjoy our automotive hobby, but we also get to raise a lot of money for a lot of really excellent local charities. Every dollar raised by the Medford Cruise goes directly to local youth charities,” said President Corey Harris.
This year a new kind of drifting was added. Tandem drifting was first made popular in Japan.
