GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A nearly two-year downtown renovation project is coming to an end in Grants Pass.
Over the next month construction crews will be putting the finishing touches on the 5th and H Street building. The roughly 90-year old building is being completely restored to make way for a restaurant, a tap house, and a local organic produce market.
Representatives of Ausland Group, the project’s developer, say the idea is to model it after Portland’s Pearl District.
“It’s exciting to me personally to see that we’re advancing, keeping up with the times, and actually progressing with what we can be and what we offer to our community,” said Aaron Ausland, the CEO of Ausland Group.
The new businesses are set to open in June. The opening will also include parking lot renovations to add more spaces.
