GRANTS PASS, Ore. – One man has been arrested and one woman has been hospitalized after a domestic disturbance early Sunday morning in Grants Pass.
Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) patrol officers responded to 1402 Cherry Lane just after midnight on Sunday, after officers were advised that the woman was seeking refuge at a nearby neighbor’s residence, after being physically assaulted by her fiancé, Cosmo Seal.
Grants Pass Department of Public Safety officers went to Seal and his fiancé’s residence, where their young children were last known to be. GPDPS patrol officers were able to locate and secure the three children inside of the residence. Police said officers saw blood and at least two bullet holes inside.
With the assistance of a K-9, Seal was found hiding under a nearby travel trailer. Seal surrendered immediately and was not injured. The children were released to a family member. Police say Seal’s fiancé was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital where she was treated for a stab wound to her leg and multiple abrasions and bruises about her body. She is in stable condition.
Seal was lodged at the Josephine County Jail and faces multiple charges of assault, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
