CENTRAL POINT, Ore.– An organization that rescues dogs and then trains them to help people with hearing disabilities, is getting a new leader.
Blake Matray is coming from Alaska to take over as CEO on July first. He currently leads the non-profit there called The Sled Dog Fund, which helps promote awareness and support of children with special needs.
Dogs for the Deaf is also being awarded a 4-star rating from one of the largest evaluator of charities in the country.
Robin Dickson was the CEO for the organization for 32 years. She retired in December.
