MEDFORD, Ore. — A warrant is out for the arrest of a Gold Hill-area man who police say tried to kill his bulldog execution-style last summer.
Jayson Wayne King was a no-show in court Tuesday morning for sentencing on an animal abuse charge. In June, police say King put a rifle in his dog’s mouth and fired.
The dog survived after being left tied-up at a veterinarian’s office, and has since been adopted. Lewis’ girlfriend was cited for animal abandonment for her alleged part in leaving the dog injured and bleeding at the vets office.
