MEDFORD, Ore. — A medical marijuana dispensary is appealing to Medford city leaders to regain its business license, and is now gathering support from the community.
The owners of Mary Jane’s Attic have taken out advertisements asking supporters to attend Thursday’s city council meeting in support of the business. In September, the city revoked the business license for Mary Jane’s Attic and a separate business, Mary Jane’s Basement, which operates out of the same building and sells hemp products. The owners appealed that decision.
The owners hope they can get enough support to change the city’s decision.
“I’m hoping to see a lot of support, a lot of my patients that come in, and even friends and family members of the patients, because it’s important to them to that their loved ones get the access [to medical marijuana] that they need,” said co-owner Marlene Nuckols.
The city council will consider the owners’ appeal Thursday at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers.
