Dentist Office Goes Green

3-3 rob dentistASHLAND, Ore. — Monday, a new dentist office opened in Ashland, and the owner says the next time you come in for a check-up, you can go green.

White Dental Studio is southern Oregon’s first Eco-Dentistry certified practice and one of few between Portland and the Bay Area. The practice saw its first patient Monday and has been the dream of owner Brandon White for years. New construction was done with recycled steel, reclaimed wood is used as office furniture, and high efficiency fixtures will help eliminate up to 300 gallons of water a day.

White said he took a look at every aspect of opening and going green.

“It’s been fun. You learn different ways and means that you can get through your life with using less and creating a better environment at the same time,” White said.

The practice also has high efficient equipment and flooring to help limit the carbon footprint.
