Police Investigate Suspicious Death

Hunter Discovers BodyASHLAND, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death that was reported this morning. On Thursday at approximately 4:30 p.m. Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to do a welfare check at a residence in the Bear Creek Mobile Home Park, located on Corral Lane in Ashland. Inside the home, Deputies found the subject deceased, Sheriff’s officials said in a news release.

Detectives from the Major Assault and Death Investigation Unit (MADIU) are investigating the case. Officials say the circumstances of the subject’s death are suspicious, however, the Deputy State Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause of death.
