MEDFORD, Ore. — The suspect whom police say set off a bomb outside the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office will change his plea next week.
Alan McVay was set to begin his trial in federal court Tuesday, and had originally pleaded not guilty. But in court Monday, McVay said he would like to change his plea. That plea change is now scheduled for May 12th, and his trial has been postponed to May 13th.
No one was hurt last November when the explosive went off outside the DA’s office. According to court records, McVay had been scheduled to go to trial on a separate charge at that time. The bomb was set one day before that trial was set to begin.
