MEDFORD, Ore. — Repairs are being done on the damaged D.A. building, and employees were back to work Thursday morning.
Attorneys and staff members began the day working out of the grand jury building and victims support offices located across the parking lot from the damaged building.
Jackson County District Attorney Beth Heckert says the entire ordeal has been rattling to some employees, but said they have worked together to not let it affect their jobs.
“We’re pretty resilient, everyone’s pulled together, helping each other out and doing whatever we need to do, and we’re not a group that’s going to be intimidated by this kind of violence,” said Heckert.
The damaged building was reopened on Thursday afternoon. Heckert says only a small handful of cases were delayed yesterday because of the explosion, and says her office will quickly catch up.
