Cultural Trust Awards Grants

Four Southern Oregon organizations have grant money headed their way.

The state’s cultural trust board awarded a total of $55,000. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival took home the largest: $35,000. The Josephine Community Library System is getting $10,000 and the Jacksonville Heritage Society and the Ross Ragland Theater each got $5,000 grants.

The Cultural Trust also awarded more than $61,000 to cultural and tribal coalitions in Southern Oregon, including Cow Creek band of the Umpqua Tribe.
