MEDFORD, Ore. – Medford Police officers are noticing criminals from Josephine County crossing over to Jackson County lines.
In the last six months, detectives said they have been called several times to investigate incidents from Josephine County in Medford. The most recent incident was last week, when Medford Police arrested one Cave Junction man and a Grants Pass woman in a suspected theft of a travel trailer and other property.
“Its something that we weren’t doing before, we’re doing more now and you can’t help but think, there’s a correlation there with the amount of criminals that are now on the streets up there in Josephine County and we anticipate, you know, this will probably keep occurring,” Medford Police Department Lt. Mike Budreau.
The Cave Junction man in connection with the suspected theft is being held at the Jackson County Jail.
