Crews Mop Up Structure Fire

Crews Mop Up Structure FireNEAR CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — Fire crews are investigating a fire that engulfed a garage near an apartment near Central Point. There was no one inside the garage at the time of the fire. No one was injured in the fire. It was contained to the garage only. The apartment is not damaged. Jackson County Fire District 3 and a Medford unit responded to the fire Saturday afternoon on the 6000 block of Old State Road.

“Potentially they would’ve been in danger if the fire would have developed even bigger than it was when we first got here. But thankfully, we got here quick enough to keep it from spreading to that house,” said Rob English, Fire District 3 Captain.
