MEDFORD, Ore. – Medford fire crews battled a structure fire early Saturday morning that lasted for over four hours.

Just before 2:00am, fire crews responded to the 2400 block of Pembroke Circle for a fire inside a home.

Medford Fire sent four engines and a supplemental rig, about 15 firefighters in total. No one was injured.

Crews say most of the damage was contained to a bedroom of the home, but some insulation in that room made for a persistent fire.

“They had to do extensive overhaul, pulling ceiling down in the adjacent rooms trying to clear that area to make sure the fire was out,” said Battalion Chief Brian Fish.

This fire was shortly after the same crews mopped up the Sierra Pine Plant fire, also in Medford Friday evening.
