Crash Takes Life of Driver

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAUMITILLA COUNTY, Ore. — Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing to investigate the cause of an early morning crash Wednesday that took the life of an adult male.

OSP investigators determined that at about 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, a Ford F150 driven by Beau Tyree Zetzsche, 22, from Umapine, was traveling westbound on HWY 332 negotiating a curve at Triangle Station Rd. when it went off the highway. The pickup went off the road and rolled into a field where it came to rest, according to an OSP press release.

Zetzsche was wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving with revoked driving privileges and had outstanding warrants out of Texas for a probation violation, and Oregon on a parole violation and theft for his arrest.
