ASHLAND, Ore. — Oregon State Police troopers are responding to a second crash. It’s at the site of a jackknifed semi between mile marker five and six northbound near Ashland.
Drivers should expect delays in both directions. The Oregon Department of Transportation is reporting that traffic is backing up.
An ambulance has been called to the scene.
UPDATE: I-5 has been cleared following the semi truck accident. Officials with Oregon State Police say the driver of the truck will be cited with careless driving.
The second crash involved an RV and a Toyota compact sedan. The RV driver says the two collided when they came around the bend and saw the truck blocking the road.
Both occupants of the RV came away with no injuries. Officials say the driver of the Toyota sedan had minor injuries, but declined to be taken to the hospital.
