KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — According to a press release, Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Friday evening’s fatal pedestrian-involved traffic crash that resulted in the death of a 49-year old Klamath Falls man.
Police say just before 8 p.m. on Friday, a 2000 Dodge Caravan driven by Yvonne Joyce Wade, 73, from Klamath Falls, was eastbound on South 6th Street between Homedale Road and Madison Street when it struck a man walking across South 6th Street.
Police pronounced Bert Linwood Ichtertz, 49, dead at the scene. Ichtertz was not in a crosswalk. The driver was not injured.
OSP troopers from the Klamath Area Command say the investigation is ongoing.
