A new report was obtained form the International Department of Human Services. It shows that the tech company “Oracle” was supposed to help modernize the state’s system to help Oregonians electronically apply for food stamps and other types of public assistance. The company apparently missed an October deadline and is only 11 percent complete. Officials report that 71 million dollars have been spent on that project.
The first project between the state and the company Oracle was “Cover Oregon,” which was scrapped last Friday, after the state sunk 250 million dollars into the exchange.
