Cover Oregon Owes Agencies

Cover OregonSALEM, Ore. — Millions of dollars were wasted building the failed Cover Oregon website, but that may be just the beginning of the Exchange’s financial problems.

Cover Oregon says it owes about 900 thousand dollars to health insurance agencies. Those agents were certified through the exchange but have not been paid since enrollment began.

Officials say Cover Oregon sent checks totaling more than 200 thousand dollars to agents earlier this week and plan to send more money out next week.
