CORVALLIS, Ore. — When it comes to the college experience, location plays a big role and in a study by the American Institute for Economics, Corvallis is earning the grade.
The American Institute for Economic research published its 75 best college towns and cities, and in towns with less than 250 thousand residents, Corvallis came in at number five.
There’s no question as far as OSU students are concerned. They say Corvallis is the place to be and freshman Hollin Metz says why, “It’s a beautiful town, it’s safe.”
“It’s a very welcoming feeling,” agrees Susan Smith, an OSU junior. “We love OSU, go beavs!”
The group looked at cost of living, earning potential, and diversity among other things. They also looked at arts and leisure activities. The only other college town in Oregon to make the list was Portland.
