Not much change in our weather pattern except that the ridge that’s been bringing the unseasonably hot temperatures and dry conditions to our area begins to weaken today. Temperatures in the valleys will be about five degrees cooler this afternoon then yesterday, while the rest of the region will join in the cooling trend tomororw. This cooling trend will last through the weekend dropping temperatures back to seasonable across the area.
Fall officially beings on Saturday and it is going to start to feel like it as a cut-off low moves inland dropping temperatures even further, moving in some clouds and a chance for rain overnight Saturday into Sunday. If you’re ready for fall-like temperatures the good news is it looks like we won’t see a quick warm up like we’ve seen countless times this summer immediately after a cool down!
Although Summer is winding down remember that fire danger is still at ‘Extreme’ due to the hot and dry conditions we’ve experienced for the last several months.
