Cooler/Humid Weather Helping Fire Fight

video preview image

High temperatures dropped by more than 15 degrees in the valleys of Southwest Oregon, bringing higher humidity and helping firefighting efforts.  Skies will turn sunny through the weekend, with a more off-shore flow of air, likely moving the heavy smoke around and putting it back into the Illinois Valley and keeping Grants Pass and the Applegate Valley socked in.  Some thinning of the smoke is possible in Medford and Klamath Falls.
