The high pressure ridge positioned over the West all week will begin breaking down today. This will result in cooler high temperatures and a little more cloud cover. Skies will start off partly sunny and turn mostly sunny into midday.
The cooling trend will continue into the weekend and an area of low pressure will help to bring in more clouds and some moisture. Saturday late afternoon and early evening a few showers will develop across West Side Valleys. A stray shower is also possible along the Coast and in the Cascades.
By Sunday, widespread showers will develop into mid and late afternoon. All areas will then see some wet weather. Heavy rain and small hail is possible with these showers and isolated thunderstorms as well. Sunday, the best bet for a thunderstorm will be at the Coast, the mountains & the Basin. On Monday, this chance will expand to all locations.
