Mostly sunny skies across the region today with clouds sticking around at the coast today. Expect winds to pick up at the coast and the basin this evening with gusts up to 20 mph possible. Early this afternoon we’ll bring in the chance for isolated thunderstorms east of the Cascades both in Oregon and Northern California.
As we head into the weekend we’re going to continue our cool down, starting with today with temperatures about 5-10 degrees cooler in the valleys and northern California then we were yesterday. As we approach the weekend we are going to see temperatures continue to drop with temperatures for both Saturday and Sunday expected to be well below normal for this time of the year. The reasoning is an upper-level low approaching the region which will bring in more air from the artic and push the ridge that’s been centered over the four corners bringing us our hot temperatures to the east. The ridge will return next week, but looks like another upper-low is going to approach by next weekend cooling temperatures again. We continue the yo-yo of temperatures through next week!
Thanks for logging on and have a great weekend!
