An upper level trough is still over the western portions of the viewing area, mainly the Basin. Cooler temperatures are present in the higher elevations as a result. This will shift eastward this evening and high pressure will move into our region for the weekend.
A dry and stable weather pattern will continue into next week. This means cool overnight temperatures will again be present as inversions form in the Valleys. Fog and low lying clouds will also be a recurring theme into the five days or so. Many lower elevations may struggle to warm again with lower clouds and cold temperatures remaining near the surface.
A mix of sun and clouds can be expected over the weekend. A weak disturbance will try to move south Saturday late afternoon, but there isn’t much moisture with this system and I think if anything does develop it will be drizzle and confined to the Coast. All other areas should remain dry!
