Cloud cover is still lingering across the East Side this morning from a passing cold front last night. Rain and snow showers developed across the forecast area, mainly across Lake County and the Southern Oregon Cascades, all of which appear to be dissipating at this point. Gradual clearing is expected through the morning and mostly sunny skies into the afternoon with high temperatures similar to Wednesday.
A ridge of high pressure is sitting over much of the West, bringing mostly clear skies through Friday. Saturday, the storm track is slowly inching southward and will bring a weak front through our region into the late afternoon hours. This will bring cloud cover and isolated showers, mainly to the Cascades and East Side.
Come Sunday, clear skies return and temperatures will gradually warm next week towards normal values. By the middle of the week, the valleys will be in the mid 70’s! Keep in mind these clear skies also will bring cool overnight temperatures. It’s likely frost advisories and freeze warnings are issued.
