Controlled Burn May Cause Smoke

burnNEAR WHITE CITY, Ore.– Grayback Forestry is planning a 143-acre controlled burn on Oregon Department of Transportation’s vernal pool mitigation and conservation site northwest of Medford.

The burn is expected to be carried out over the next few days in order to restore the native habitat for plants and wildlife.

Some smoke may be seen lingering in the area during the late evening and early morning hours. The controlled burn is also expected to create a wildfire buffer for surrounding homeowners.
