this is newswatch complex update-stinger the once blue skies over josephine county are now a dull gray as smoke from the garner complex continues to fill the air. the lightning caused complex is made up of roughly a dozen fires .. joe says: "we have three or four fires of significance here still that are challenging because of the weather and the fuels and the terrain they're burning in and that's where our focus is now." they are the grave creek, spencer, aircraft and more than 1300 personnel working to get those fires out. and more resources are on the way. joe says: "we're getting support from all over the country, all over the state, all over the northwest. it's kind of an all hands on deck situation here in the pacific northwest and especially southwest oregon. it takes everybody it takes a team to accomplish out objectives and things are going well that way right now." there are areas in josephine county under level three or go evacuation orders. and there is a red cross shelter ready for anyone who needs it at grants pass high school. so far, no one is staying there. red cross disaster volunteer patty albin says that's a good thing. patti says: "it's always nice to know that people have found a safe place for them to stay. if they do have a place to stay, that's fine but if they don't we're here." o-d-f hopes to have the complex completely contained in just over two weeks. in josephine county, andryanna sheppard, newswatch 12. [a10]taylor creek evacs-intro we have some new evacuation levels to let you know about evacuations have been put in place for residents on shan creek road and limpy creek road. remember - this means you need to be ready to leave at a moment's notice. the josephine county sheriff's office says level 3 evacuation notices are still in place for west pickett creek road. they say you should not delay.. and evacuate immediately. a level one - be ready - evacuation has also been issued to all the residents on dutcher creek road. addresses near the pleasant miles north of rogue river. the addresses affected are between 4-8-7-3 to 50-50 pleasant creek road. yesterday two addresses were upgraded to a level three go evacuation. those are 7499 and 7948 pleasant creek road. level 3 evacuation notices evacuation notices affect 7 addresses on graves creek road... north of ditch creek. the area in yellow is the area of those level 3 notices. the grave creek fires are part of the garner complex. the grave creek fires are estimated to be at 115 acres. today governor kate brown ng to be a very tough wild fire season and i want to encourage oregonians to be safe and be vigilant. the conditions are very dry throughout the state and weather patterns are grim...as oregonians travel throughout the state, please,please, please, abide by fire restrictions and be careful and be safe out there. the declaration authorizes the oregon office of state fire marshal to bring resources to help local fire crews who are fighting fires. we have been told by the garner complex public information officer that those resources will be coming tomorrow afternoon.
