weekend-llvosot emma says, "a bit of a rainy start here for the first day of boatnik, but things are clearing up now and it's all about those carnival booths and vendors. active club members say they want to remind people out on the river where all the action will be happening this weekend." from now until monday evening, boaters should expect to get turned around if they go near riverside park. active club members say there's no boat traffic allowed from baker park down. and there's another thing you should know if you'll be on the water. "be careful, there's no down river boating going on until monday, so they're pretty much good to go from schroder park down to robertson bridge or so." he says marine deputies will be out on the water making sure everyone has a fun and safe time. boatnik has events on the water all weekend long. things won't clear up until monday around 3 p-m after the hyrdoplane race. and after that.. "they're free to go back to normal operations on the river." emma says, "and with thousands of extra people in town, local businesses are feeling the economic impact. coming up tonight on newswatch 12 at 6, i'm telling you how one business just right around the corner from the festival is getting ready for a very busy weekend. in grants pass, emma balkenbush, newswatch 12." for
